ABOUT JASON FOLEY

Jason is a 16-year resident who has appreciated the quiet and quaintness ever since moving to Long Hill. A longtime Little League coach and a member of the Long Hill Democratic Committee, Jason loves being part of this community. He and his wife are raising their son and daughter in Millington.

He grew up in Bloomfield, NJ, in a family of union members. His father was in the IBEW and he would always say that unions protect your job and they fight for you. Both parents ingrained in him this core value, that he shouldn’t remain silent if he sees an injustice—he should stand up and do something when change is needed.

Curiosity is another virtue that Jason prizes, given his career. For 26 years, Jason has been an IT professional. Solving problems comes naturally to him. He believes that in IT and in life, you have to be curious about the way things work and how they can be improved upon. He will apply the same analytical approach to challenges in Long Hill.

WHY HE’S RUNNING

Environmental contamination is personal for Jason. Jason intends to:

• Monitor the impact of development on the environment, school system, infrastructure, and aesthetic appeal of Long Hill.
• Boost pride in the community through beautification projects.
• Follow through with improvements recommended in the Master Plan.
• Support growth of new and existing small businesses.

Jason feels that small businesses are the pulse of our local economy. For them to thrive, open communication is vital to Jason. He will encourage small business owners to share any struggles so we can better support them.

Jason’s hope is for Long Hill to have the best future possible. He’ll accomplish that by prioritizing talking to residents and truly listening to their visions for this town, because—as the son and sibling of union members—he believes we need representatives who not only listen to your concerns, but act on them.
